Director – This is a permanent, full time position, for 35 hours per week. The position is classified as Grade 9, with a commencing hourly pay rate of $37.44 ($1,310.66/week).

Trainee – This is a full time training position for a two year term. The successful applicant will be required to complete Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care.

Early Childhood Educator – Two positions available. These are permanent part time positions for 15 hours per week.  Successful applicants must have Cert III Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.  The position is classified as Grade 3 with a commencing pay rate of $25.13 per hour.

Child Protection Laws in NSW require verification of Working With Children checks. Preferred applicants will be required to attend a pre-employment health screening to ensure they are able to meet the inherent physical requirements of the position.

Administration Officer (Temporary)

Gwydir Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled and experienced candidate.

This is a temporary, full time (35 hours per week), maternity relief position for an initial term of 12 months.  The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative support to both the Building Services Manager and Engineering Manager, as well as undertaking a customer service role.

It is essential that applicants hold a Class C drivers licence and possess excellent communication skills.

Salary and working conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2017.  The position is classified at Grade 5 in Council’s salary system, with a commencing hourly rate of $27.55 ($964.58 per week based on a 35 hour week).
